Namespaces

Each extension namespace in SNOMED CT is identified by a unique number. This number is part of the SNOMED CT Identifiers of the concepts that are defined within an extension. For example, the extension namespace 1000000 identifies the UK Extension. In SNOB, you can attach a short and long name to each extension namespace. The short name is used when you select the option Show extension namespace of concepts and descriptions.
