SNOB - A SNOMED Browser

Manual

Subsets

Via File-Import you can select to import subset definition tables. SNOB opens a window with the imported subsets after clicking the Subsets button. You can then activate one or more subsets, either by double-clicking a subset, or by right-clicking a subset and selecting Activate from the popup menu. If you also check the option Only selected subsets are active, SNOB uses the user-specified colours to display concepts that are (not) present in one of the active subsets.

When subsets are imported, you can drag a subset from the subsets window to the browser pane. Alternatively, you can double-click a subset to see its members, or right-click a subset and select Show Members from the popup menu.

Information, like id, version, type and language of a subset can be seen by right-clicking a subset and selecting Show in the popup menu.

Subsets can also be exported to a text file. Just right-click the subset and select Export from the popup menu. Adding a concept to one or more subsets is easy, just activate the desired subsets, right-click a concept and select Add to active subsets in the popup menu, or Remove from active subsets to remove the concept from the active subsets. Newly added, and removed concepts are displayed in a user-defined colour.
