Spawn

You can spawn an unlimited number of SNOB instances on the same (or a different) database. Either press the Spawn button to spawn a new browser on the currently focussed concept, press the Spawn button at the small browser in the concept info pane, or right click a concept in the concept info pane and select Spawn from the popup menu.

Another option is to spawn a slave browser on another database by selecting Spawn slave on in the drop down menu below the Spawn button. The slave browser focuses on the concept which is selected in the main browser. In this way you can quickly compare concepts in different versions of SNOMED, or e.g. compare the english and spanish editions.

In the animation below, the top instance of SNOB shows the english edition of SNOMED CT, then a slave is spawned on the spanish edition. When a user selects a concept in the english edition, the slave focuses on the same concept in the spanish edition.
