SNOMED CT MetaModel

NB: The IHTSDO prefers to call this the Concept Model. You may find a mix of both terms on this website.

SNOB expects a tab separated value file for the MetaModel, where each line contains one constraint triple (or rule, or sanction). The first line defines the columns in the file, as follows:

ObjectID AttributeID ValueID ObjectName AttributeName ValueName

A MetaModel can be downloaded on the download page.

Via Options-Settings-MetaModel you can specify that SNOB should display relationships that fail (i.e. are not sanctioned by) the MetaModel with a different user-defined background colour. SNOB can also show the sanctioned relationships for the selected concept (see below), or you can use the sanctions from the MetaModel to add criteria to a post-coordinated concept.
