Indexing

If you want to search for words in SNOMED, you need to index the contents of the database using File-Index. Press Start to begin indexing. During this process SNOB displays words that index more than 100 concepts in the model in a list as words to consider as stopwords. These stopwords are not used as index terms. You can also download a suggested list of stopwords here. Just place this file, called stopwords.txt in the data directory of SNOB. Default this is the sub-directory data in SNOB's home directory. Both the data directory and the location of the stopwords list are user-definable via Options-Settings-Advanced.
