SNOB - A SNOMED Browser

Manual

Crossmappings

SNOB also imports crossmappings to other classifications, these mappings are displayed as hyperlinks in blue. By default, SNOB lists all concepts that have a crossmapping to a clicked code. Right-clicking a classification code opens a popup menu, where you can select either to display all mapped concepts, or open an online classification browser.

For ICD-10, this can be either the english ICD-10 browser at WHO, the german ICD-10 browser at DIMDI, or the dutch ICD-10 browser at the dutch WHO-FIC Centre (user-defined in Options-Settings-Crossmaps). If you maintain a classification browser yourself, you can also direct SNOB to use this online browser. Specify the URL in Options-Settings-Crossmaps, the clicked code is then appended to that URL before calling your online browser.

If you have crossmapped classifications in ClaML, SNOB can import those into a database and use these to display the preferred rubric of a code from such a classification in the right-hand side info pane. If the code is not present in the imported classification, SNOB checks if a parent (or ancestor) code is present and uses the rubric of that parent code. This is indicated by three > followed by the parent code.

If you have SNOMED International or READ CTV3 in ClaML format, SNOB can also import those into a database and display the rubric for the old legacy SNOMED code and/or CTV3 identifier in the right-hand information pane. You can toggle the display of the legacy SNOMED and CTV3 rubrics in Options-Settings.
