SNOB - A SNOMED Browser

Manual

Comment

When you want to comment a SNOMED concept, you can send an email using the Comment button. SNOB puts the SNOMED CT Identifier and preferred description of the focussed concept in the text of your email together with the list of files that are imported into your database. SNOB then opens your default mail application to send your mail.

Alternatively (selectable via Options-Settings-Comment), you can enter your comments on a website. Default, this refers to an experimental website, where you can enter your comments, which are then stored in a database. On this website, you can see comments that you entered earlier, and also comments by other users on the same concept.

When the latter option is selected, on start-up SNOB downloads a list with all comments from the website. A concept with a comment is then preceded by a small button . After clicking this button, SNOB retrieves and displays the comments attached to this concept. Concepts that have both a note and comment attached are preceded by this small button .

You can also retrieve all comments known by selecting Show all in the drop-down menu next to the Comment button. SNOB then retrieves and shows the list of all comments entered sofar, for an example see the screenshot below. When you select a concept in this list, SNOB focusses this concept in the browser and shows the comments.
