SNOB - A SNOMED Browser
FAQ
Is it possible to search by OPCS code?
Assuming you have built your SNOB database from the full UK release data and that the OPCS crossmaps have been imported then, yes, it is possible.
To check if you have the OPCS crossmaps included in your SNOB data build, click the "Mapsets" button in the middle of the SNOB toolbar (the one with "ICD OPCS" written on it). The "Cross mapsets" dialog that appears lists all the crossmaps that are loaded; for the April 2009 UK release you should see OPCS 4.4 and 4.5 loaded. Earlier releases would have 4.3 and 4.4.
To actually search for the SNOMED code (or codes) mapped to a particular OPCS code, first select which OPCS version you want to search on by clicking on and highlighting the relevant version in the list of loaded crossmaps as displayed by the dialog you just brought up. Then type the OPCS code you want to search on e.g. H051 - into the text entry box at top left of the dialog, and press the "Find" button. The main SNOB browser view will refocus to display the various SNOMED concept(s) mapped to that OPCS code.
